Luau Pork Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries “heaven on a bun”, topped with their world famous cole slaw Their buns come from La Brea Bakery in Los Angeles, regarded by many as the Best in California, if not the World. Cost: $15

Jawaiian Jerk Chicken Plate – rice, fried plantains, housemade coleslaw, johnny cakes and jerk sauce on the side. The jerk sauce wasn’t too spicy in my opinion but for individuals sensitive to spicy foods, it will creep up on you. Cost: $18 (photo credit: Travel Buddy)

A hiking trail from Rocky Point Restaurant offers beautiful coastal views. The tide pools, rocks along with plants and flower.

As much as I wanted to get my feet in the water, I quickly saw exactly what the lifeguards were warning us about. Deceptively treacherous waters.
